Information
About
the Conference
The 21st
International Liquid Crystal Conference will be held from July 2-7, 2006
in the Rocky Mountain resort village of Keystone, Colorado located about
90 miles west of Denver. The conference is held under the auspices of of
the International Liquid
Crystal Society and organized by the
Liquid Crystal
Materials Research Center at the University of Colorado. The Keystone
Conference Center and surrounding accommodations will provide an
exceptional setting for this meeting.
About
the Keystone Resort
The
Keystone Resort is Colorado's most acclaimed Rocky Mountain resort
and conference center. Summer is
spectacular here. The climate is mild, the days are long and the resort
offers a variety of outdoor activities. You can experience a scenic
gondola ride, hiking, 36 holes of mountain championship golf, yoga, a trail
ride followed by a barn dance, biking on more than 40 miles of
paved paths, mountain biking on more than 100 miles of trails, or just
lounging by one of the resort's 16 swimming pools.
The Adventure
Center in Lakeside Village is your headquarters for summer
activities. During lectures and
poster sessions, your family can enjoy hiking, mountain biking,
horseback riding, fishing, golf and other activities. Free times in the
afternoons will enable you to participate in these activities,
together with your colleagues or your families.
Keystone
is an excellent starting point for a post-conference tour of the
American West, with several famous national parks within driving
distance, including Arches, Canyonlands, Mesa Verde, and the Grand
Canyon.
