PRE-CONFERENCE TUTORIALS

Time: 9:00 am – 12:00 noon and 2:00 – 5:00 pm

A pre-Conference tutorial program will be organized on Sunday, July 2, providing a concise introduction to basic liquid crystal science and emerging research areas.

Twelve lectures (in two parallel sessions) will include:

  • Basic experimental methods (microscopy, materials properties, dielectric spectroscopy, NMR, X-ray scattering)

  • Emerging areas (simulations, synthesis, scanning probe microscopy, optical trapping, alignment)

Please note that the 21st ILCC begins on Sunday evening with the Opening Ceremony and first Plenary Lecture followed by the Welcome Reception. The tentative conference schedule may be downloaded or viewed online.

The applications plenaries are free to all registered conference attendees.
